The Lumix and Pen both have a manual focus zoom for you to check the sharpness of the area in focus, But it can be cumbersome to use if you are shooting in a hurry. That said, you should only use manual focus lenses once you get the hang of it.

Rangefinder Replacement?
The Rangefinder is a quirky camera. There is a small market for them and this is what keeps Voigtlander and Leica in business. But this is a slowly fading market as less people are taken up the features which have long been superceded by the likes of the Micro Four Thirds system
